The question often comes up, “what will I learn in Computer Literacy?” In the Computer Literacy course at the Ogden-Weber Applied Tech College you will learn computer basics.

The course starts by teaching general computer knowledge and vocabulary, this includes parts of the computer software as well as vocabulary. Following that, the course goes through Microsoft Office applications. This covers Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and briefly touches on Outlook and e-mail. Internet usage will also be covered. When the student has finished the course, they should feel comfortable working with a computer.

Upon completion of the Computer Literacy course, there are intermediate courses available through the Ogden-Weber Applied Tech College. There is Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Internet to continue your learning. The Computer Literacy course is taught in a work at your own pace environment and takes about 90 hours to complete. The course isn’t easy but there is plenty of help from the instructors as you are learning the material.
