And don’t forget about the 40th anniversary and health building celebration next week! It’s open to the public and free for everyone!
Well other than the landscaping, I think it's safe to say that the building is COMPLETE! This week they brought in new furniture and installed some new signs and displays. Once again, if you haven't had a chance to go over and see it for yourself, please do!!
Next week I'm hoping to post a nice set of pictures of the finished building, so keep an eye out!

Everything's just about done! Students will begin having classes in the building next Monday (June 6). All that's really left now is the landscaping outside. It's open to the public now, so go see it for yourself!
Week of May 30 – June 3, 2011

Pat Dean and his crew bring in the “donor wall” display. That will be revealed at a later time!

All the room donation boards have been installed. They look great!

A first look inside the elevator. This was done and functioning a long time ago. I’d just never been in it.

Mr. Pat Dean marks flaws on the wall for the construction crew to fix later.

They're not done yet! There's still a lot of little things to be done. But one very noticeable difference this week was the new plants in the gravel areas of the bottom floor. Take a look for yourself!
Week of April 25–29, 2011

There’s lots of cleaning going on, from top to bottom!

Even the tiny corners right above the floor are being cleaned.

It's spring break for the college this week, so today's pictures are from Wednesday, the 20th. The building is so empty now! Workers are few and far between. There's so many small things still to be done, and they're making great progress on them. One of the main things is thoroughly cleaning the entire building. And there are other small things like exit signs, room signs, lights, and many others. And of course, they're still working on the landscaping.
According to the countdown at the top of this page, as of today they should have it done in seven days. Will it be officially complete in a week?? Couldn't say.....
Week of April 18–20, 2011

They uncovered the finished floor this week. It looks great!

New lights installed in the terrazzo floor.

Desks wait to be installed.

The outside doors are being installed.

Wow, is it quiet in there now! There's really not too much left to do at this point, other than move all the health stuff from the business building over to the new building. That's why most of the rooms are just sitting empty right now. There are still things going on in there, but a lot of the work has now moved outside to finish up the terraces and landscaping.
