President Mercier was awarded the 2009 ATHENA Award by the Women in Business Committee of the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce Tuesday.

The article talks about two federal grants OWATC will receive; one is a Technology Based Learning Initiative Grant for $500,000 for OWATC’s Information Technology program, the other is a Community Based Job Traning Grant for $1 Million for OWATC’s Welding program. Both grants will give students opportunities to receive training and the welding grant will allow for much needed lab improvements at OWATC.

The OWATC Annual Community Career Fair will beheld March 3, 2009. Last year over 2,300 job seekers and 100 employers attended. It’s the largest community job fair held in Northern Utah and it only happens once a year so you won’t want to miss it!!!
