I am so happy to tell everyone i know that i am a college student. I grew up fast in a middle class family with six children two older sisters and three older brothers. Then there’s myself being the youngest at twenty three years old.
As a kid i was hard headed due to some things i have went through at a young age. I started going down hill fast in middle school and high school. My dreams got shattered when i was always told no by my father.
i started believing the words others told me. Until now!
I know i am worth it and i have so many talents to share with the world.
I wanted to start Barbering so bad that i asked my father and mother to help me achieve this one dream!…
i didnt get the pell grant for last semester so in order for me to start when i did i had to pay out of pocket about $2,000 dollars. I Begged my parents to have faith in me for the first time.
After two days of brain-storming on how i could get that money. My phone rang and my father told me to give it my all even when it gets tough.
That day my dreams of being a barber came true.
i want so much to show everyone that ever doubted me in my young teenage life, that i do have alot of talents to show this world.
    i am Heidi Medina.
i’m the type of person that helps others everyday.
Barbering isn’t about the money you make, Rather it’s the people you help.
I dont care if i make a cent in this carreer because i’d much rather help make a difference in someone elses life for the better.
When i can make a person smile – that there makes me feel better about myself and how i am already succeeding in my young adult life.
I filled out the pell grant for this coming up semester and i pray every night that i could get it. that way i can move forword onto my road to success and everlasting happiness.
I would like to continue my schooling when i complete this one. (Wisdom is knowledge)
I believe i can make a difference in my class by showing and sharing all the skills i have and teach those skills with others that want to learn something new. i enjoy learning new things from the people in my class.
We all came from different walks of life, so it’s truely amazing to see the way others work and interact with total strangers.
My class and instructor have helped me in so many ways that i will never ever forget. This Barbering class has a welcoming feeling the whole time you are in the building.
I just wanted to share with you how much i enjoy my day to day education here at the Roy ( owatc).
    I’m proud of myself:
for wanting to push forward even though i’ve struggled so much in my past years. EVERYONE DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE!!
