Cancer in America is the second leading cause of death.
The American Cancer Society cited that there were 565,650 cancer deaths in 2008 attributed to poor nutrition, physical inactivity, overweight, and obesity.

The American Cancer Society also cited 170,000 cancer deaths in 2008 were attributed to tobacco use alone!

Each and every one of us today has been affected by cancer; perhaps a close friend or family member; perhaps even ourselves have been affected.

In honor of our close friends and family members we may have lost to cancer and in celebration of our cancer survivors please come and learn the facts at our Cancer Awareness Event (information display)

Tuesday, October 20, 2009 in the Union Building 11:00 am to 1:00 pm  (Open to Students and Employees)

An American Cancer Society Representative will be present to answer questions but will not be doing a formal presentation.

Please pass this information along & post the fliers!!

Sincerely,

You’re Wellness Council
